The ceremony will start around 3 pm. The ceremony combines elements of Christian and Soto Buddhist traditions that honor both of our spiritual backgrounds and our shared values. You are welcome to participate or witness to the extent that you feel moved to. If you arrive after the ceremony has started, please find your seat quietly.
At the entrance to the shelter will be a list of table assignments. At your table will be an indication of which seat is yours.
The reception will start after the ceremony finishes. The meal will be a buffet. We are not permitted to have alcohol in the shelter, but we can dance away. The park closes at sunset, which on this date will be 9:04 pm.
The nearest major airport is Seattle-Tacoma (SEA). Actually, Vancouver BC (YVR) is physically closer and feasible, but adding in the border crossing time from Canada can take longer. Bellingham regional airport (BLI) is very close and sometimes worthwhile, and typically requires a transfer in Seattle. If you fly into Seattle and are not renting a car, the Bellair Shuttle services Bellingham frequently. The train ride to Bellingham from Seattle is gorgeous, but takes longer. If you're able to, site on the left side for views of Puget Sound and the islands.
